Imaging

Marquand Library has two scanning stations, and an overhead scanner that allows digital scans that may be e-mailed or saved to a flash drive only (no printing capabilities). Patrons must ask for permission to photocopy or scan materials at the front desk, as many books are too large or too fragile to copy.  For scanning FAQ

Our iVina A3 FB6080E, and Scannx Book Scanner 6167 book-edge scanners allow scans of 11" x 17" at maximum 600dpi and are located on the A-floor of Marquand.  The design of the scanner protects the spine of the book by allowing it to lie flush against the edge of the scanner.

Photocopiers
  • Patrons must ask at the reference desk for permission to photocopy or scan Marquand materials. Many books are too large or fragile to copy safely.
  • Marquand Library has two black-and-white photocopiers in the copy center on the 1st Floor.
  • Copies cost $.10 per page.
  • Inquire at the Marquand reference desk to purchase a copy card sold in increments of $5, $10 or $25 dollars. Payment is by cash, credit card (Visa, MC, or Discover), or check payable to Princeton University Library.  One dollar of the purchase price is for the card itself. Cards may be recharged.
  • Patrons with a Princeton ID card may use Paw Points for photocopying.
  • Color copiers are available on the B Floor of Firestone, 2nd Floor of Lewis Library, and in Frist Campus Center.

Microforms

Marquand Library's microforms are located on the second floor, and may be viewed or scanned on the microform/fiche reader. All of Marquand's microfilm and microfiche collections are listed in the library catalog. Please ask at the front desk for assistance. Marquand now has a ScanPro 1000: instructions next to the machine.
