Sales Catalogs
Patrons seeking sales catalogs should inquire at the front desk and/or check the library catalog for a specific auction house by author or by individual sale title (if a major sale). We house many un-cataloged sales catalogs from Christie's, Sotheby's, Parke Bernet, Bonham's, Hotel Drouot, Phillips, Swann, and William Doyle in many media, both on and off-site, but not comprehensively (1820s-present). In addition to those catalogs and in Marquand in locked shelves, we have many catalogs housed in Annex A, for which we have an in-house card catalog. Please ask for these items at the reference desk or e-mail marquand@princeton.edu, and a Marquand staff member will retrieve them or assist in requesting from off-site.
