General Hours &  Access

Marquand is a non-circulating library. A Princeton University ID or Library Access Card is required for entry at all times.

 
Visitor Wireless Access 

The Office of Information Technology allows wireless access for short stays on campus using PUvisitor.  Princeton is also now part of the eduroam  federated access network service.  See complete information on eduroam service at Princeton.

Rare Books Hours & Access

Non-Princeton patrons must obtain a separate Rare Book Access Card to consult special collections. The Rare Book Vault is open Monday - Friday from 9am-5pm.  If you are planning a visit, please call to confirm the hours (609-258-3783).

 
Printing Policy

Patrons who have an access or borrowers card may inquire about a printing login and password at the Access Office in Firestone Library.

 

 

Directions

Marquand Library is located just off the lobby in McCormick Hall, along with the Department of Art and Archaeology, the Princeton University Art Museum, and the Index of Christian Art. Classrooms 261, 361, 362 and 363 are all located within Marquand Library.

 
Off-Site Storage

It takes one to two business days to retrieve materials. Visitors may request Annex materials through the catalog. Staff must request ReCAP materials for visitors. Send a message to marquand@princeton.edu with the call number, your name and email address, and the article/chapter information if a scan is
preferable.

Carrels and Visiting Scholar Shelves

Study carrels are rarely available for visitors. Please inquire about a long-term shelf assignment.


 
Interlibrary Loan 

Guest borrowers (i.e., those who have purchased borrowing privileges at the Princeton University Library) do not have interlibrary loan privileges. Please request items through your corporate or public library.  Marquand Library does not loan volumes and does not provide copies from its collection for individuals.
